Financial Literacy

Having at least basic knowledge in financial matters is becoming more and more important. For many people their old age pensions alone would not suffice to secure their present standards of living. They need to be backed up by private insurance for retirement. As the recent financial and economic crisis has revealed, a lack of financial literacy may threaten our very existence. Asking bankers for consult would not be a good advice. As the crisis reveiled, their so called knowhow was mere pseudo knowledge one should rather ignore.

Some people blame 'the markets', for the extent and the severety of the financial crisis others regard the 'bonus culture ' as the source of all evil. Many market participants, who considered themselves experts, were caught by surprise, but for the real experts the crisis appeared inevitable, a prominent example being George Soros. He had warned in spring 2008 that the crisis was far from over. He expected at least one big investment bank to go broke - and he was right.

Investors should look for independent advice. Those who are interested in low risk investments should look above under publications. You will find useful information there. Programs which facilitate profitable investments can be found under products, see above.
